If we truly believe in it, the Universe can become our accomplice in leading us toward our dreams—and sometimes, as happened in this case, in guiding us back to them…
This time the celestial bodies led me to Villa Manin in Codroipo to attend Giorgia’s concert. With this tour, she was celebrating the 30th anniversary of COME SAPREI and the consequent victory on the Sanremo stage.
In addition to COME SAPREI, which opened the concert, she sang all of her greatest hits, taking the audience on a journey through these thirty years and allowing us to experience powerful emotions under the spell of great music.
Guided by her magnificent voice… elegance… class… and professionalism…
It was an evening that reconnected everyone present with music itself, in the breathtaking setting of Villa Manin.
And after the emotions of the concert… came those prepared by the Universe.
While the audience was heading toward the exits, and thanks to the invaluable help of Lorenzo—the person responsible for the entire organisation of the tour—I crossed the barriers and found myself backstage… to see her again and give her the painting I had made for her!!!
I passed the time replaying the concert in my head, and after a while—here comes Giorgia!!!
She walked toward me with her beautiful smile and, recognising me, greeted me by name, asking how I was and how my artistic work was going.
Filled with happiness, I replied that everything was going very well and, taking advantage of the artistic moment, I handed her the painting.
After opening the case that contained it, Giorgia exclaimed:
“But it’s wonderful!… Look at this… Riccà, you’re incredibly talented!” Her eyes lit up with happiness.
I told her that 2025 unites us in memorable dates: for her, the anniversary of COME SAPREI; for me, it marks twenty years since I used to listen to her GIRASOLE in the gym of the rehabilitation centre where I was hospitalised after my accident—and that is why I chose to depict those flowers.
She gave me a warm, understanding look and then began signing some records I had brought with me, as well as the concert ticket, all in an atmosphere of friendship and simplicity.
Before we parted, we took a few more photos, and in the hug she gave me I felt all of her sincere affection.
It was a beautiful emotion to hear her sing—but even more so to once again encounter the beauty of her soul…

In this artwork, four of her songs are present, which is why I painted four flowers:
GIRASOLE,
LA CURA PER ME,
L’ UNICA,
DI SOLE E D’AZZURRO.
GIRASOLE was part of my rebirth in this “Second Life” of mine, and in those moments when the wounds of the body and the spirit were still fresh… it was LA CURA PER ME (the cure for me).
Then there is L’UNICA, with that summer rhythm that drives away melancholy and helps rediscover the desire to start again, relying on ourselves.
And UNICA (unique) is her voice, which makes the soul feel the warmth and serenity of a Sunday DI SOLE E D’AZZURRO (Of Sun and Blue).
I chose to depict the microphone in a modern style because Giorgia embraces contemporary music, blending it with her precious, more classic background of soul and rhythm & blues.
In this way, I wanted to create a thread connecting this artwork with the other painting I gave her, forming a single emotion.
Wrapped around the microphone handle is a rainbow, a symbol of PEACE and RIGHTS , LOVE and FREEDOM.
The world always needs them, and we have the power to make it better with a simple gesture—by joining our hands together.
